Warner Bros. have unveiled the first trailer for the upcoming film, Gangster Squad. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the film chronicles the LAPD’s fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of Los Angeles in the 1940s and 50s – centered around Brooklyn-born mob boss Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn). Based on Paul Lieberman’s real life “Tales From the Gangster Squad” articles, the film also stars Nick Nolte as LAPD Chief “Whiskey Bill” Parker, alongside Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling, and Emma Stone as a mafia moll and Wooters’ love interest. Gangster Squad is set to hit theaters on October 19, 2012.
