Air Jordan VII “Olympic” Retro

Marking 20 years since Michael Jordan and his fellow compatriots on the Dream Team dazzled on and off the courts in Barcelona, Nike presents a re-release of the Air Jordan VII with Olympic flare. Designed by legendary footwear designer, Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan VII was released in early 1992 in white/metallic gold-obsidian-true red and saw His Airness take home the gold while sporting the number “9″ – as referenced on the back of the sneaker. The Air Jordan VII Retro will release on Saturday, July 21 for $160 USD.

Air Jordan IV White / Cement 2012 Release a Hoax??

Through many blogs and sites has this post been surfacing around today, the anticipated release of the Jordan IV Retros that were last released back in 09′, the White/ Cement IV’s.  It having to be April 1st as some would call it April Fools day it is questioned if this is true to come out. There is a high possibility that these may come to a release date in 2012 but according to SneakerFiles these images trace back to a site where they sell fakes. Read more to view images.

Here is an excerpt from the article :

As the clock struck midnight the internet went ablaze. April 1st is always a way for one to pull pranks and have it legitimized when followed up by “April Fools!”. However, this time around even ‘experts’ have been fooled regarding the newly released images claiming to be that of the Air Jordan IV Retro White/ Cement, which have been rumored for years to make a return.

After some research, the original images were located on a site selling fakes which shall remain nameless as they do not need promotion. As you can see in a side by side comparison, the original images were slightly altered to resemble that of the actual ‘Cement’ AJ4… they were close, but not close enough.

The rubber outsole features Grey, as it should, but the original images featured a white outsole typically found on fakes.
